So i'm just wondering what people know about these quads? Where in the crap do you buy them? what years were they made? what are there benefits?

If you didn't read the title i"m referring to a gas gas WILD 300 /2t Quad

Anyone here own one or ever owned one?

From what I have read and heared about them they are a "race ready quad" with all the goodies!!!! I have also heared there is only one dealer in the U.S and they are in Las Vegas! I have read they will custom build you one and as far as I know they are still only a 2 stroke quad! Hope this helps???

boy, if they're in Vegas, I've never heard about them...but that doesn't mean there's not a dealer here. I've never seen a Gas-Gas at the dunes either, only in some write-ups in the mags.

There are several dealers for GASGAS 3 or more in MN. Some of the dealers in Misouri or Vegas deal more with quads. Although the identical engine is still used in the 07 ec300 bike, The 300 wild 2 stroke was made up to 2006. They now make a 125 & 200 2 stroke quad + the 450. I have & ride a 2003 300, all around good quad. Probaly one of the easiest to maintain. Yet still has exhaust valve for great linear power. Many parts are interchangable to the more popular bikes. So parts are easy to get & cheaper than say zuki or yamaha. If you want a new quad you might have to order one. I did not want to post a bunch of links but there are list of dealers availible & other forums with some info. Hope that helps

Hear is a little update for those who asked.
If you end up replacing the rear axcel bearings.....
I found that these are a direct match up for the ones from gasgas which they charge over $150.00 each and it takes Two of them for the axcel.(cost is $300.00 plus tax and shipping)
I get these through

The seals for the Axcel housing can be bought through the following

The gasgas has a slightly differant chain size as well.
Most bikes and quads use a 520 chain

The model is a RG30RS-120 (cost is $92.95 + tax =$99.36)
REGINA 530RS X 120 this is a little long and will need to be cut down 10 links or 110 long
count the pins not the links for proper fitment.

Thanks Roger. That helps a bunch. I have done some checking and found out a couple more things of help.

The rear axle bearings are actually is a very common car part. I ordered a set from work. They are a/c clutch bearings from GM. I will get the actaul part number tomorrow.

The air filter is from a 99 or older cr250

The reeds are from a 96 yz250

Pivot Works offers fornt wheel bearings for a good price.

I am currently trying to track down the front upper and lower control arm bearings. I will advise once I have found them.
