I picked up a 1986 225 moto4 for my son . I have fixed a lot of minor problems BUT one is nagging me

the carb was removed and cleaned replaced and the motor runs well. except the float sticks and floods out the carb stalling the atv . I dropped the bowl and everything looks clean nothing obstructing the movements of the float. gentle taps with a screwdriver handle on the bowl ussually frees up the float .

anyone have any expirience with this? any ideas ?
